PROJECT SUMMARY:

Sequoia High School is a new High School campus in Visalia, CA.  ASDi provided the structural design for five new buildings at this new school site – consisting of an administration building, multi-purpose building, and three classroom wings. A unique design feature of this project was the use of heavy timber trusses to support the roof framing.  The trusses serve both the architecture and the structure, and allowed the design team to create open spaces with beautiful, dramatic vaulted ceilings.  This theme was carried throughout the classroom spaces and library.
