PROJECT SUMMARY:

ASDi was the structural engineer for the new state of the art CHP Central Division campus, located in Fresno.  The project consists of a 31,000 sf office/dispatch building and a 6,800 sf vehicle service building.  There is also a fuel island and a large communications tower.  The walls of both the dispatch building and service building are designed as special reinforced masonry shear walls.  The roof structure is composed of wide flange steel beams with a metal roof deck to act as the diaphragm to resist lateral loads.  Both the Architect and ASDi had to work closely throughout the design process with the California Department of General Services (DGS) to coordinate all the specialty systems being housed by these buildings.
