PROJECT SUMMARY:

This two-story steel braced frame building will provide classroom space, science laboratories, a technology center, and administrative offices for Atascadero Middle School.  A beautiful brick facade mirrors the historic Atascadero City Hall situated directly across the street.  The soil on this site demonstrated severe liquefaction potential, necessitating a drilled pier foundation system that extends 50-75 feet below the surface to the underlying bedrock.
