Beginning this fall, students in Porterville Unified School District will have the opportunity to attend the new Military Academy. The Academy will be one of 14 institutions the make up the PUSD Pathways Program, which focuses on producing students that are both college and career ready. The Military Academy will be one of five public military academies in the state of California and the second in Tulare County. In addition to focusing on college preparatory courses, the Academy’s academic program will also feature classes on leadership, ethics, decision and policy making, map reading and drill ceremonies among others.
